About Nocturna
Nocturna is a 2D animated film from Spain. Nocturna is a fantasy tale about a world where nighttime is the result of a concentrated effort by magical and fantastical creatures. Think Dark City, animated.
In France and Spain, it grossed over $1 million dollars through word of mouth marketing alone.

About Deptap
Deptap, short for The Department of Art and Power, is a new distributor and exhibitor focusing releasing independent and foreign animation online while making it accessible through a variety of platforms.
In 2010, revenues for online movie sales and rentals totalled $385 million. This year, revenues are expected to grow to $480 million. Online distribution represents the fastest growing segment of the entertainment industry as people increasingly choose to stay home and watch movies on their laptops, cell phones, and Playstations.
In the US, animation dominates the box office charts, ranking in the top 20 highest grossing movies of all time. As the American appetite for animation grows, their demand for animation other than 3D and children's animation grows.
Just as the biggest studios acquire and release independent and foreign films, Deptap does the same with animation.
The Plan
Deptap has already negotiated and acquired the exlusive US and exclusive digital rights to Nocturna. Nocturna will premiere November 1st, 2011.
Our plan is a 3-step plan:
1) Release the film online
2) With the money and buzz generated from online sales, release the movie theatrically
3) Sell the movie to TV Networks
