Our Story
Soraya and Geoff are actors in New York City. We met, of course, in acting class (at LAByrinth Theater Co.) and have been inseparable ever since. We got engaged and since our parents thought we would never get married, we need to pay for the wedding! We are talented and creative people, and thought, "Hey. We know a bunch of other talented and creative people, so lets put on a show!" So that's what we're doing. We're putting on an evening of short plays, written by Geoff, and requesting donations to help pay for our wedding. However, we have to shell out a bunch of cash to get insurance, rent rehearsal space and book a theater! The show will take place at the Actors Theatre Workshop (145 West 28th Street, 3 Fl., New York, NY) at 7 pm on Monday and Tuesday, April 18 & 19. We will be suggesting a donation of $20, and will be selling raffle tickets for some terrific prizes donated by friends and businesses! There will also be a cocktail reception following each performance.
What We Need & What You Get
Basically, we need to raise some money to pay for the expenses of the fundraiser so we can use all the funds we raise to pay for our wedding. For your contribution you will get an evening of quality live entertainment!
