Jonathan, a rich West Texas rancher’s son, desires to make his name in the world. Living the life of a rancher is not how he wants to be remembered. After a series of events convince him to do so, he approaches Pop with his plan to use his inheritance to make his own way in the world. Surprisingly, his dad doesn’t argue, but instead gives him his blessing!

Now on his own, Jonathan lives “high on the hog” with wild parties, loose living, indulgence in every vice he can try, and plenty of women!

When the hardest recession to hit the nation in 100 years causes prices to go up, his fortune quickly dwindles down to nothing, leaving him penniless and homeless within months.

Struggling to make ends meet, he has to find food and shelter at a homeless mission. He lowers himself to work as a janitor at the mission in exchange for guaranteed food and bedding, until the recession forces the mission to close, leaving him in the cold with his only possession…a bed roll and a Bible.

Will he survive? Can he beg his father to let him work as a hired hand? Will his dad take him back, or leave him in the cold?

Join us for a story of forgiveness, unconditional love, the transformation of a boy to a man, and the willingness of a Father to reach out to the one He loves no matter what his past.
