Our Story

"For Pay" won the 2011 PAGE Awards Gold Prize in the TV Sitcom Pilot category. It has been praised for its wit, its depth and, forgive me but I have to, its balls. But "For Pay" scares Hollywood, because they don't know anybody that would watch a show in which the lead male is heterosexual but performs in gay porn. I call bullshit!

The funny thing is that when you actually read the script you will find that the actual story, the heart and soul, is one of acceptance and ambition. That's the story I'm aiming to tell and that's the story I'm passionate about. I just happen to be using a gay porn star to do it.

We follow Charlie Helmsley, the biggest star in the world of gay porn, as he begins recording a reality TV show. Charlie hopes this will help him break into a more mainstream career, and show the world that what you do for a living doesn't define who you are. Unfortunately, it's not all rainbows and butterflies when his Republican mother's campaign for the Senate is disrupted by the news of her scandalous son and his girlfriend's Catholic family risks hearing the truth before he has a chance to reveal it himself.

Some reviews:

"The most shocking thing about "For Pay" is just how good it is." - PAGE Awards Judge D.M.S
"I've...been reading a lot of shitty pilots recently and it's nice to see something fresh." - Scott Leddy of Empirical Management
"...very well written, very funny, and uniquely original." - Kristy Cecil - Producer, Big Bang Theory
"You definitely have an interesting and funny script." - Stevenson Greene - LOGO Network

The Impact

I would love for "For Pay" to make some noise and get some interest from studios, production companies and/or networks. I would love for "For Pay" to lead to a more stable job as a television writer. And most importantly, I would love for "For Pay" to make you laugh.

But I would really, really love for people to watch "For Pay" and have their preconceived notions and stereotypical thinking smashed into pieces.

Major goal: to get accepted into the New York Television Film Festival.

What We Need & What You Get

I need the funds to cover every aspect of filming: from food service, to camera rental (the best HD camera rentals can be up to $1000 a day!), to location fees, to professional sound, to editing. I want to go all out on this and make it look as good and as professional as possible.

You get my unwavering love and admiration for the rest of your life. And whatever specific perk is listed to your right.

Other Ways You Can Help

Share this on twitter, Facebook, Google+ (do people use that?)...wherever you can to help spread the word. Thanks and thanks some more!
