Our Story
What have we done?
When
Peter, a socially-conscious college professor, leaves a political rally
addressing the zombie epidemic, he never expects to be confronted by his
own tag-along zombie who holds a single clue to his fate. Follow along as Peter pieces together what
exactly he has done in this
alternate reality where zombies embody the ultimate social stigma.
Based on the short story from Hugo-award winning author Will
McIntosh and from multi-award
winning director James Kicklighter (The
Car Wash, Di Passaggio), Followed
features the American debut of actor Erryn Arkin ("Home and Away,"
"CIA: Crime Investigation Australia") as Peter, Edith Ivey (The Curious Case of Benjamin Button) as
Jackie, Sylvia Boykin (The Tenant) as Jenna, and it introduces San Francisco's
Abigail de los Reyes as Asian Girl.

We
privately raised more than $10,000 to complete production on the film.
We
have a great track record with film festivals, screening in every region of the
country, and we strongly believe that this project will get a warm reception on
the film festival circuit this year. As recently as this month, we have been
informed that three of our projects were accepted in the Macon Film Festival, a
record for us and the festival. What this means for you is that when we make a
movie, we get them finished and we send them out for audiences to see.
This project in particular is special because it will be our
calling card for investors who are looking to back our first feature-length narrative film. Followed is our most ambitious project yet, with an impressive lineup of talented cast and crew members.
JamesWorks Entertainment is a small but stable production
company on a steady path toward a solid career in filmmaking. We
want our investors to know that we carefully consider all of our production
costs, as well as creative decisions, to put out the best product possible.
Because
we secured the right cast and crew with a limited time frame to shoot Followed,
we took a business gamble and begin production with only $10K of our
$15K budget raised. As the buzz accumulates around our film, we offer a unique opportunity for potential investors. But don't just take our word for it:

that the principle cast and crew were placed in hotel rooms ($1450). He also

production ($300), and secured the rights to Essie Jain's "Glory" for the end of the film ($600).
