OUR STORY

Fixation is a documentary focusing on the thrilling world of single speed bicycling. Shot over the course of 12 weeks, Fixation intends to capture, for the first time, the excitement and popularity of this growing sport from all perspectives. With the resurgence of single speed bikes, we are going to discover the appeal of having only one gear.

Single speeds are the original form of bicycles, but technology has advanced to provide multiple speeds for a faster, easier riding experience. Still, the single speeds, fixed, and freewheel continue to have a strong following. The range of riders is vast, from the professionals to the casual, everyday rider. Their styles and motives may be different, but their outcome remains the samethe freedom of one gear, the simplicity, and the challenge brings them back to basics.   We want to cover the full spectrum of single speed, city riders, bike polo, olympic athletes, messengers and find out what single speed is all about.

WHAT WE NEED & WHAT YOU GET

This project needs your help! Whether it is a monetary donation or your help in spreading the word about our project. All funding that we receive will be used towards the project whether it is equipment rentals, gas for traveling to locations, getting the DVD's produced, permits, etc. Every cent will be used towards Fixation in some way.
