My Story
Wanting to sing a song has been a great consistency in my life. What/where/when/how that yearning has brought/taught/showed me a lot. I have played a good amount of shows. I want to play more. Songs, I want to write and write forever. I moved back to my native Ohio two years ago from a two year stint in Chicago, Illinois. That journey brought me my debut EP, All Songs in English. It brought me home to a steady stream of playing with a band. I toured last Spring. And now...what's next? My first full length album entitled Sweetheart.The project is going really well. We have recorded 6 of the 11 songs (one of the tunes is a Henry Mancini cover). The basic tracks are down and the more decorative instruments will be added very soon.
I decided on Sweetheart for a couple of reasons. One, I have a song with the title about the Sweetheart in my life. But also, I think of Sweetheart and I think of legendary screen stars and musicians. The glam, the singing..it's what I am most interested in right now. I hope the album reflects some from that era with the world I am living in now too..
I set a goal of $1500 and that was acheived!! how incredibly wonderful is that!! thank you thank you!! and..it is still continuing. The options are looking more real and so great.

-mastering: which will be running at a minimum of $500 -this is the probable cost of mastering, that can now be accounted for because of your donations :)
-duplication: $800 upwards to $1000 : I am hoping to go with the most eco friendly packaging for the album and giving you the lyrics plus of course the thank you's to those who donated. With the company I went with for my 2008 EP, they would offer all this at $1000 with excellent quality) -this can be looked at as covered with your donations as well :)
What's left:
-possible vinyl distribution: $500 + (this still may be a bit too pricey..we'll see to accomplish; have looked into releasing an EP on vinyl which at a minimum without a cover was $700..yikes!)
*I put some money (my own; none from donations) into new promotional/website pictures for the album. They were done by my good and super talented friend, Amanda Johnson.
-merchandise (t-shirts, buttons, etc): $350
What's been made: a new poster was designed by my friend, Kevin Czapiewski. I have had a few of the posters printed, they look great! $100 has gone into posters. My friend, Emma Pavlik has designed the new (well my first ever) t-shirts. Printing those will be quite costly but worth it I hope! I am giving away several to you wonderful donators and will be glad to give more away if you'd like to donate :) putting in $250 to these.. the rest will go to buying a button maker and making buttons and also getting some stickers printed. fun! all will be available at shows and eventually on sale through my website and other outlets here online.
-touring $1000
I am shooting for a Cleveland to Nashville starting off tour in June. From there I'll look to the Midwest to tour..gas is not so cheap right now so a good amount will go into that and I've yet to reach hotel offered with venues..sad :( I spent close to $1000 last Spring on my tour, so this is a rough estimate on what it would cost this time around.

The Impact
I hope I have stressed the importance of your donation. I have met some of the nicest and interesting people through playing shows through the years. My friends/fans have been really great and so encouraging. I feel good about this campaign being a fantastic impact on getting this record out and going somewhere special with it.The direct Impact on reaching the goal is definitely an overabundant amount of joy and motivation on my part to be/stay excited about this record and that "next step".
