About the Project
My name is Andrew Mayes. I am a student and my interests are Electronics, Physics, and Amateur Rocketry. The project's main goal is to raise enough funds to launch a multi-stage rocket to achieve a height of 1km, and get data from onboard instruments.
Why I Need Your Help
Unfortunately, amateur rocketry isn't cheap, and with more and more complicated and sophisticated rockets, the price increases. The launch cost is now too great for me to easily raise the funds on my own, so I'll need your help. Every penny earned will go towards the project in some way, even if it just buys several components!
More information is available on the website, and this page will be kept update with photos and videos as the rocket is built. Currently, no part of the rocket is complete enough for it to be worth a photo, but they will be added as each module is built! Current image shows the proposed design for the EIM, which will be the first module to be built.
Note: The minimum goal appears to be $500. FS5 only needs $200 to guarantee a launch, so any further funds raised will either go towards future rockets or further developments/tests with FS5.
