Our Story

We've just made a big movie with a little budget and really need your help to get it finished.  As you can see from our first clip above, it's almost there.  And as you can see from our thumbnail photo, we could really use some color correction. :)

The film is called LOOK AT ME.  It is a music and character-driven indie about the trials and tribulations of love and life in New York City 2010. We've completed filming and are almost finished with post-production. We seek to raise $15,000 to finalize all the music licenses and final post-production elements.  The film stars James Duval (Gone in Sixty Seconds, Donnie Darko, Independence Day, and the recently completed Touchback with Kurt Russell), Mark Boone Jr. (Frozen River, Sons of Anarchy, 30 Days of Night), and reunited three members from the popular series Lonelygirl15: Katherine Pawlak, Jessica Rose, and Yousef Abu-Taleb. 


Katherine Pawlak, (who is phenomenal in the film btw) is the lead singer for the popular LA band Sad Robot, and recent recipient of a Hollywood Music in Media award for the single Little Miss Bi-Polar."  She wrote and  performs the title song for the film (which we may give you a sneak peak of on this site.)  Alaina Alexander, of American Idol, also performs in the film, as well as several other stellar rockin' indies.  Other bands will pepper the soundtrack including The Benjees, The Respectables, Tigercity, Moqita, Field Notes, The Heavy Petters, Mikey Wax, Fantastic Modern, and more!


Your donations would not go to waste. A lot of very passionate and hard working people have helped us get the film this far and now we need your help to make it to the finish line.  I'm Alesia the director and this is my first feature film, what an incredible opportunity! And Tara and Yousef, the Producers, have done nothing but bust their butts to allow me and everyone else involved to create and execute our vision.  

We'll be updating this page and posting new pictures, our progress, a trailer and sneak peaks as we get closer to the goal so feel free to keep checking up on us.

SCRIPT CONSULTATION  
Elizabeth Amato has generously volunteered her services for our cause. What she would do is read the script thoroughly, then do a one-hour phone (or sometimes in person) consultation. After that, she would write up the main points of the discussion and send it to you. A note from Elizabeth: The script consultation assesses the writer's progress on the path to a successful draft. A successful draft is one which fulfills the vision and material the writer has chosen, while also communicating that vision and material clearly, concisely, and in an emotionally resonant way to the audience. The consultation format allows the writer a voice in that process and together we uncover the true direction of the story and chart the major points to be addressed in subsequent drafts.
