About Me:

My name is Elizabeth LaCroix-Wagaman, Novelist and Screenwriter.  with the publication of my 4th novel, "The Contemptible Secret", I have been compelled to adapt it to the silver screen.  The novel itself is doing well, but I had this overwhelming desire in the pit of my stomach to have it done on the big screen.  And I have wanted and desired this since the moment I started writing the novel back in 2005.  Something inside me will not stop until this novel hits the big screen.  I cannot explain it, its just this drive that I have and it pushes me onward and upward. Though, this is my very first screenplay, I have been taking some direction from a director/producer friend of mine as to how "properly" to write the screenplay,  and to be blunt, its where I truly think this novel should be on the big screen.  Now I know that I an new to the film world, but my producer/director, William Schotten, is not new and he has made many films to his credit.

 

The Impact:

 

If this campaign is complete, the film will be producer and made.  If this campaign fails, then its back to the drawling board and my determination on strengthens to get this film made.

What We Need & What You Get

Though the fim company that will do it, is not a major movie studio, like warner bros, etc.,  all the funds ($500,000.00) will go to the production of this film.  Hiring staff, producer, director, craftmen, electricians, sound persons, digital compositors (green screen), etc., equipment rentals, things of that nature.

The film is entitled, "The Comtemptible Secret, as from my novel. 

 

Snyopsis:

When love goes wrong, does anything go right?  For nearly eight years, Francesca has worked hard to build her company into something strong, creative and successful.  Upon the advice of her heart, Francesca plans a vacation to Paris, France; where she really needs to unwind.  Once her vacation starts, she accidently runs into (literally) a hot, charming and sweet Frenchman in the hall of the same hotel she is at.  His charming and handsome name is Pierre.  Love at first sight feelings fills the corridor of the hotel in that brief interlude.  What Francesca couldn't see, was the dark horizon that lay before her feet in her future, as awe love struck blindeness shielded her from her logical perception.  After sweeping her off her feet, Francesca flies back to New York City to introduce Pierre to her family.  Francesca's sister and brother have their reservations about Pierre.  As that something just isn't right with him.  After her move to Paris, and once Pierre finally and completely had her; he quickly turned evil and insane with delusions of grandeur and paranoia.  With the aide of his bodyguards, Adrian and Luc, the three men control her and her every move.  Paris, France has now become her prison and she has become its inmate.
