Our Story

Filbert is a folk/indie/pop band of good friends Daniel Gutierrez, Mike Gonzalez, Josiah Byars, Jonny Fadum and Briana Gregg heralded from Stockton, California. Some of the band members have written and played music together since high school, but only recently all united to studio-record their first official full length album titled If Time Travel Were Possible. Recorded at Imperial Recording Studios, If Time Travel Were Possible includes ditties about things most twenty-somethings worry about: finding your identity, regret, girls and beer. Filbert converts these universal concerns into moments of traditional folk, clumsy pop and good old fashioned rock and roll. Climactic trumpet solos, meaningful taped collages and sustained saw bowing infuse the traditional band line up of guitar, bass, drums and piano.

Now Filbert wants to put If Time Travel Were Possible into the classic vinyl format for the first time. Our goal is to press 250 vinyls for public distribution.

If we don’t meet our goal, the record simply can’t be pressed. Please understand how important and appreciated any help is to us. It is through you that our goals can become reality.

We are thankful for any and all donations to this cause and any assistance will positively impact any future musical ambitions we have more than you know. With your help, we’ll be able to fund the pressing of this vinyl and use any profits from its sales to get famous and quit our day jobs...

Kidding! Not gonna happen.

In reality, any profits from its sales will help a lot to jump-start the recording of the next (hopefully even better) album.

What We Need & What You Get

We need $2,000 minimum to have 250 albums pressed and to cover all related marketing expenses (flasks, posters, shipping, etc). Any and all donations are well worth the expense and will help the cause.

Perks include a $5 digital download of the album. $15 gets you a Filbert poster with digital download. Flasks with digital download are available at $20 a pop, and of course you can preorder the limited edition vinyl itself with digital download for $20, or bundle them together for $35. .

$50 will get you all of the above. $75 and we will personally recognize how much you’ve contributed to our project by putting your name on the back of the album jacket as well as everything else we’ve already mentioned. $150 gets you all of the above plus a song written for you or about anything you’d like. $200 gets you a personal Filbert show along with a bundle of all the products.

Finally, if you’d really like to make time travel possible, we are also offering a fully functioning TIME MACHINE PACKAGE; including all the products plus a time machine built from the ground up by Daniel Gutierrez (can only move forward at normal speed).

If we don’t raise the $2,000 in time, your monetary contributions will still help drastically in getting the vinyl pressed soon. Any funds earned will serve as a foundation for raising the total sum or to buy materials needed for merchandise we will sell to raise money to press 250 vinyl copies. We will continue to play shows and to sell any merchandise that you helped fund to slowly but surely reach our goal.

There will be a vinyl release show some time in May. Every supporter will get in for free and you can pick up a package of whatever you pledged to get. Yay!

If you want to help but would prefer not to donate financially, you can always give us a hand in getting the word out. Every Facebook post and Filbert Indiegogo mention in conversations with your friends and family will help give us a larger platform to speak to potential contributors. So go ahead and help us out by doing one of the following:
