Our Story

Twenty years after an emotional breakdown that destroyed his self-esteem, filmmaker Jeff Crispi is beginning to trust himself again and takes you on the journey of a lifetime.

From cancer to a manic-depression diagnosis, from obesity to his search for love and faith in a greedy world, he has always fought to understand. Family, friends and alternative methods of self-improvement and spiritual discovery help improve his health and strip the rust off his dreams, in this unique film about full exposure and finding what is truly important.

Jeff's words:

"By confronting my personal fears of cancer, mental illness, addiction to food and co-dependence, people with similar issues may feel inspired to seek their personalized Hero's Journey and seek out beneficial lifestyle changes. Hopefully, that cycle will reinforce itself and get passed on to friends and family, too."

If this project happens, what's the impact?

A great sense of healthy pride and confidence will enrich my personality, producing a calmer core. Therefore, letting me act more authentically when interacting with others and my self. On a personal note, I will establish myself in the filmmaking community, allowing me opportunities to explore other truth-seeking documentary concepts and ventures.

If the film fails to reach DVD, it's already had a genuine positive impact on me and many other people. From learning to respect myself more to using the benefits of breathing to worrying less, I've done a lot of good. I may have lost touch with a few friends and my wife chose another path in the process, but very few are meant to sit at the same table at the same time for ever. I've had the blessed opportunity to share my life with many people through making this film and plan to continue this type of interacting in life...Full-scale!

What We Need & What You Get

We really need $25,000 to finish the film (hire an editor, composer, etc.) and then market and enter festivals.

We are currently searching out other ways to bring in the money so whatever we raise here on IndieGoGo will add to the pot.

We are offering the following for donations:

5$ gets you a Full Scale sticker of Jeff doing push-ups in the street of San Francisco.

10$ we'll send you a magnet calendar for 2011 with same image.

20$ buys you a movie T-shirt.

100$ we will send you a copy of the film when finished and the T-shirt.

500$ you'll receive a copy of the film, T-shirt, calendar and two passes to a SF or NY premiere.

$1000 or more and you will get executive producer credit, dinner with the director (sorry, healthy food only) plus all the gifts from the other packages.

Other Ways You Can Help

As we all know now, word of mouth is so powerful! Grass roots marketing is the way for independent film. Please tell your friends, post on your social networking forums, tell us what is working or not working, ideas, inspiration, notes and referrals are all appreciated!
