Our Story

The Lone Star Retreat is a place where women from all walks of life, who have been in or beside the uniform of  service come together for healing, growth and a building of a foundation for that next phase in life.

The Impact

When the women who have served our communities and our country have given all they have, they need a time and place to refuel.....to re-energize.....and to refocus...when this happens-we all benefit. We have stronger communities, which leads to a stronger future for us all. When we fail to support those who serve us, we all fail...We cannot sit by and expect the government or the state to take care of those who served-they served WE the PEOPLE and WE the PEOPLE OWE them a debt of gratitude!

What We Need & What You Get

The funds are for: the cost of the retreat location/housing, transportation for those who need assistance, meals, supplies for activities (art, music, writing, etc therapy), guest speakers, trainers, coaches (their fees are waived-this is for their transportation costs), supplemental bedding (we use camp facilities), food and clothing for those who have additional needs. We need a minimum of $300 per retreat attendee to cover the basic costs. The more we raise, the more women we can bring to the retreat! The goal stated above will cover 90 women-our true goal is to serve 200 women per retreat-and have 3 retreats per year! (that's a 180k need)

See the top donation level....at a minimum, if you are able, consider the $500 level-and attend the retreat with us, as a volunteer, experience this amazing event, first hand! Have a car wash or community garage sale to help you raise the funds for this level!
