A big thanks to all those who donated to the film the first time round, the money has been added to the budget, and is much appreciated... But we still need to raise the remaining amount in order to complete the fund and reach our goal...

This is a final call to all my friends, family and anyone interested in helping out, to please donate anything you can, no matter how small the amount, it all adds up! Donate and become part of, what will hopefully be, a very successful and entertaining film!

Im very happy to have an amazing actor onboard for one of the key roles in the film As far as his credits go, think of British classics such as Elephant (Alan Clarke), Mike Leighs Four Days in July, Oscar-nominated short Dance Lexie Dance to name a few.

Also very happy to have Gabi Norland, a very talented Director of Photography, onboard. She was DoP on last years award-winning short SiS (won Best Film at Soho Rushes)

THE LOGLINE

Reclusive and jobless, Gary is one of many considered undesirable by society, but his talent goes unnoticed as he shuts off the world and his family, and secretly studies the art of violin-making in his flat.

THE DIRECTOR'S BIO

Writer-director Dan K. Smyth has a reputation for creating engaging and darkly comic films. His previous short film, The Mess Hall of an Online Warrior received official selection at South By South-West Film Festival, Texas and won the Coup de Coeur Award at the Cannes Short Film corner.. His film also generated some great bits of press, including an article on the BBC website.  The film was a labour of love; made in two days, with zero budget and only three crew members.

Following this success, Dans managed to secure a modest amount of funding from the UK Film council, with one condition, to match the funding by 30% percent. This is where we need your help. We need to match the fund by 1,100 GBP in order to obtain the backing of Vision+Media and the UK Film Council.

THE DEAL

All those who are kind enough to donate to our cause will receive regular updates as to how the film is progressing and access to a special screening of the film. There are also special perks for larger donations, such as personalised thank you film postcards, memorabilia and more.

Please spread the word... and even the smallest of donations will help us meet our goal.
