I am Dominic Angerame, the Executive Director for Canyon Cinema. The world's premier distributor of experimental/avant garde films. The past five years I have been traveling to Havana to participate in the Film Festival there. I have introduced the festival to the history of experimental cinema in the United States since the 1920's.
This year Canyon Cinema is celebrating its 50th anniversary and the festival is proud to exhibit these films. I need funds to cover air fare and living expenses for ten days in Habana for the Festival.
The impact is enormous for the culture of Cuban people since they have rarely been exposed to such works as I am going to present, below is the schedule. I need airfare to get to Cancun. The Festival is providing free air fare to and from Cancun and providing me with free housing and meals for my stay. So the funds are needed for travel from SFO to Cancun and return.
