Eve A. Ma, sole proprietor of Palomino Productions, is an award-winning filmmaker
whose programs have aired over PBS stations, shown in festivals in the United
States and Spain, and screened in official events in the United States, Spain
and Greece. Her body of work ranges from documentaries to experimental work and dramatic narratives.
Mas
documentaries have received favorable reviews in Video Librarian, EMRO, Multicultural Review and others. Her experimental work,
Two Streets and Adela was premiered as an official presentation of the city
of Jerez de la Frontera, Spain. Her
documentary, Of Beauty and Dieties Music and Dance of India was featured in
the annual conference of CID-UNESCO in 2009.
In addition, she has been interviewed on television in both the United
States and Spain.
Ma
is currently working on a narrative short, Domino,
Caught in the Crisis (expected
completion date: June 2012) and is in the early stages of a feature-length
docudrama, The Price of a Piece of
Chocolate: Childhood of Flamenco Cantaor
Antonio de la Malena. Near the end of 2011, she will also release her documentary "A Zest for Life: Afro-Peuvian Music and Dance" to complement Palomino Productions four existing educational DVDs about
world music and dance, its other documentaries, as well as its experimental and
narrative productions.
