About Me

 
Chilean/German documentary filmmaker Estephan Wagner began his career studying Theatre at the International School of Image and Gesture in Santiago, Chile.

In 1999 he moved to Germany to work as film AP and editor. Later he studied Film Editing at the Northern German Broadcaster NDR. Afterwards he moved to France and worked as editor for ARTE.

In 2007 he moved to London to make the Documentary Direction MA at the National Film and Television school. His graduation film WAITING FOR WOMEN premiered at IDFA and won the Palm Springs International Festival Best Student documentary award, among over a dozen other prizes.

He then directed and shot THE FINISHING LINE, a prime time documentary for Channel 4, while developing VANISHING WORLDS. He now lives between Copenhagen and London and is fully dedicated to documentaries.
