Hello, my name is Delmar and I am an indie film maker living in Flint,MI, and as you know Michigan right now is on an economy breakdown! Well, regardless of how the economy is and the depression state, I am one who wants to keep on hoping that dreams can be filled if one tries hard enough. Being African American and the town I live in, its a miracle that anyone can do something positive here and keep things in good standing. I have web series that I have been producing and distributing on my own via the web at which has been going through on a lo/no budget basis. It's been going good so far even though I have been working with a small consumer dv cam that's not really meant for indie film making, but more so for family videos and such. The quality is ok, but has issues when it comes to lighting, zoom, and range. When faced with tough lighting, the camera viewer flashes from light to dark in and out making it hard to shoot certain angles that I would like, also, I don't have the ability to zoom in or out, because its the type of camera that has the (Stop/GO motion) Meaning its not smooth at all. Also, that lcd lens that flips over so that you can see yourself right side up, well it shows upside down now. On top of that the little side mic's aren't really seriving any sound purpose and the suppose to be nightshot doesn't serve any purpose at all! So, with that said, my funding goal is a to buy a real indie camera to continue filming this project.I would like to produce several episodes and have seasons and sell it via the web. If any money is made I would share the revenue among everyone who was involved in bringing this project to life! Also other camera equipment needed like a tripod and lighting equipment! I am the creator, writer,principal actor, and editor of the series, and I myself am one who loves to give amature actors a chance to get credit for themselves. I would like to continue this series and open up a new prospective here in the lost city of Flint.To give others hope and let them know that despite the economic downfall dreams can still be met, and a good quality camera would really help boost the level of producing a mini-series well worth the entertainment that our society very much needs! |
