Fresh from a year of economic turmoil, downward mobility, and constantly spiraling defeat, something is rising through the cracks in our earthquake-shaken reality. It is something wonderful, and something beautiful; something created against all odds, out of a seeming void, amidst a breathless gasp of heartache and hard times. This, friends, is what art is all about: the need to create, to innovate, and to turn the unthinkable into the unforgettable. Make no mistake: this is NO SMALL MIRACLE.
The latest collection of soulful, haunting, toe-tapping tracks from Elle integrates the ideas of art and chaos, woe and wonder, and haunting little mysteries that refresh the banal every day. Elle says the album is about “seeing magic in everyday places and in ourselves; gathering a harmonic protest against feelings of disconnection and confusion from living in a world controlled by technology – after all miracles happen every day because it’s us crazy humans that make them happen!” And while the album is in its final stages of completion, Elle is keeping herself on her toes by creating a music video that visually integrates her album’s themes and adds some special spice to the excitement surrounding the NO SMALL MIRACLE album’s release.
But of course, all art remains lifeless without YOU the fans! While hard times are at their worst, we often find that creativity is flowing at its most abundant; but when it comes to producing the finished goods, that little beast called Money still gets in the way.
