Our Story
Thank you for expressing interest in our film. Our IndieGoGo campaign is officially over, but your donations are still needed! If you want to donate, email bloodybirthdaymovie@gmail.com.
We are shooting over MLK weekend (January 14th-16th, 2012). We have not budgeted for post-production yet or festival entry fees, and would appreciate any contributions made in the near future.
Lastly, donations do not necessarily need to be cash. Food, water, booze (for the wrap party, WE SWEAR) and misc. supplies would be very helpful to our cause!

The Film
Hello! We are Philip H. R. Gunn and David C. Valdez, the insane minds behind the recent feature film, Klown Kamp Massacre. We've been making films for years, ever since Dave's mom bought a camcorder and we used it so much it began to squeak until it finally broke. But it set our filmmaking careers into motion! 15 years and countless short films later, we've upgraded from broomstick boom mics and yard sale props to full production crews and professional camera equipment. We're not ridiculously rich and famous just yet, but our films are reaching a larger audience than we ever imagined. Klown Kamp Massacre, released internationally by Troma Entertainment, has just finished it's cable TV run, is enjoying more than a few favorable reviews, and is set for DVD release in December.
The project you are supporting is a short piece entitled "Edwin the Clown in Bloody Birthday", about Edwin's further antics, continuing the story where the feature film left off. Edwin, bored of being a recluse in the woods, decides to attend a birthday party uninvited, with the noble goal of making children laugh. However, he is rather unaware that he is a blood-covered clown-murdering monster and children do not like him. The father hosting the party kicks him out and Edwin refuses to leave, returning with a vengeance!
The Impact
Our inspiration comes directly from you, our fans, who we communicate with over social media. You have told us you want to see more of Edwin the killer clown and we want to give it to you. Many of you have been asking about further films and sequels from us, and we intend to deliver. This is the first time we are using IndieGoGo to fund a project, and our success with this short film stands to pave the way for the production of Klown Kamp Massacre 2, the sequel, for which screenwriting has already begun. Join our filmmaking team and make it all a reality by making a donation at the level you can afford.
