Edgar

Last year I made the short animated film George Ought to Help. This year I'll make a follow up, the working title is Edgar the Exploiter.

Why?

Based on the success of 'George', I expect 'Edgar' to be viewed, re-posted and discussed widely. It will help spread understanding of how political interventions, even when enacted with the best intentions, can end up hurting those they're supposed to help.

The plan, and what's in it for you

I aim to raise funds to allow a concentrated period of work (about three months) so that the film can be published online before 2012. Funds raised will go towards storyboarding, scriptwriting, design, sound recording, composing music, animation and publicising efforts.

In the sidebar you can see the different funding options and corresponding rewards, which include badges, books, credits and artwork.

If the funding goal isn't met, the film will still be made and all rewards will be honored, although the whole process will take longer.

You can follow the progress of the project using the Updates tab towards the top of this page.

Other ways you can help

If you feel like sharing this pitch on your social media networks, blog, or by email, that would be a big help. Consider leaving a comment to let us know how you've helped spread the word.

Thanks in advance for your support!
