Our Story

Hal is a troubled young man who is terrified of falling asleep. Because, when he does, bad things happen. His therapist, Aleksey, works to help Hal find the cause of his fear-- but what is waiting inside Hal is more horrifying than anything Aleksey has ever experienced...or imagined.

The Impact

After the critical and commercial success of our first feature, STRAPPED (2010), a Queer Indie distributed by TLA Releasing which enjoyed theatrical runs in both NYC and London and is now available on DVD or download through NetFlix, iTunes, Amazon, etc. (and was the top-selling Queer Indie DVD in the U.S. for over six weeks!), we wanted to prove we could work in other genres, specifically horror. Ever since i was a child, I have always dreamed of making horror stories. The script for this 30-min short was created through improvisations with our amazing and talented actors Nick Frangione and Artem Mishin (from STRAPPED). Our crew of hungry newcomers and industry pros donated their time and talents as a personal favor. This is a labor of love and, if successful, will allow us to have a better shot at making my dream project -- a surreal apocalyptic fantasy-horror picture inspired by THE BIRDS, NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD and LOST HIGHWAY that will speak to our times and scare the Holy Caholies out of everybody!

What We Need & What You Get

While we were able to acquire the $2,500 needed for production through donations and meager savings, we now need $3,000 for editing, color grading, music composition & recording, sound editing, design and mixing, as well as printing the film and submitting it to festivals. This is $5,500 movie! I mean, wow! For what little we have, we pack a wallop! This is a strong, powerful, original, and very scary picture! And it is "in the can." But we cannot finish without the generous support of our friends. Please, in these trying times when there is virtually no support for the arts, please do give what you can -- whether it's $25, $50, $100, $500 -- everything helps and every much-needed dime will be well-used to make the best movie about horror of self, nightmares and loneliness that we can make!
