‘Dziad i Baba’ is a short film based on an old fable by Jozef Ignacy Kraszewski. It tells the story of an old couple blinded by their unfaltering love for each other and their desperate attempts to avoid grief and loneliness. Their many heartfelt promises are tested when Death comes knocking.
By supporting this film, you are keeping an old, yet timeless, story alive and investing in cultural storytelling. A wide audience will relate to the universal ideas of love and fear that are explored in this story and I hope to be able to share it with you soon.
I have been shooting for several months and I am now confident enough in the project to seek funding. In order to see this film through the post- production phase, I need to raise money for: shooting studio rental, audio recording studio time, voice talents, compositing assistance, printing to tape, and festival fees.
