Our Story
Life can get very interesting when you get too many personalities under one roof that all beat
to their own drum.
In Hollywood, the cost of Real Estate is so high that people can't afford their own place, especially aspiring writers, painters, dancers, and creative people. Instead, adults are forced to Rent-a-Room with strangers in order to survive.
Often with catastrophic results...
Dysfunktion is the story of one day in the life of 9 odd Hollywood types that all live in the same run-down, oversized mansion. Each with their own character defects driven to pursue their dreams. Dysfunktion is what happens when personality defects collide, everything goes wrong, and life-changing decisions are made. Dysfunktion is a dark comedy revealing the best and the worst of the Hollywood type and the Hollywood human condition.
David Bianchi began writing this story after thinking about the bizarre living arrangements that are common place in tinsel town when every year, thousands of talented people flock to Los Angeles, hoping to get their big break in Hollywood.
Most find themselves in a desperate struggle to stay alive, living on the edge, inches from homeless, making sacrifices they never thought they would.
An amusingly gritty tale, reminiscent of "Boogie Nights" and "Requiem for a Dream".
Dysfunktion is "Big Brother" meets "The Hangover".

...more to come...
There are nearly 50 roles that will be cast, with many brilliant cameo opportunities... you may be surprised by some of the names and faces that may still come on board! At present, we are pleased to be in serious talks with such acclaimed actors as Corey Feldman, Sasha Grey and others.
We will continue to keep you updated as more characters are officially cast. A key element to securing attachments though is, of course, sufficient funding to pay each of these professionals a respectful, indie-film level rate for their talents.
Auditions for many other available roles will be scheduled in Hollywood just as soon as funding is in place.
Distribution:
If we can just get the film made, it will get out there, guaranteed!
We already have a Letter of Intent for Distribution from Synkronized with a commitment for North American distribution consisting of an initial Theatrical Release of 30 screens or more in major markets, a tour of the Festival market domestically (U.S.A.) and worldwide, and TV and DVD release.
However, FIRST, we need to fund, produce and deliver the Film ourselves.
The Technical Stuff:
The movie will be shot using the most advanced HD cameras in the market the RED ONE M-X, the same camera used to shoot such blockbuster hits as The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, Pirates of the Caribbean on Stranger Tides and The Social Network.
Shooting will take place primarily in one location in the Los Angeles area, inside a 10,000 sq. ft., run-down house in the hills... we already have the location locked in.
What We Need & What You Get
a portion of Pre-production and Production needs: ie: lighting and grip rental, actor and crew compensation, SAG fees, location fees, costumes, set decoration, catering, and publicity.
The Perks on the right-hand side of the screen were designed with you in mind. We wanted you to have a chance to be a part of this journey with us. There are many original items destined to become Collector's Items (we hope) plus opportunities to come on board, be on set or even be in the movie! So take a moment to window shop, you're sure to find something you like.
Shipping and Handling is included. All physical items and DVD's will ship after the Red Carpet Premiere and official Release of the Film.
Our Goal:
$15,000 is only a portion of our budget, but it is essential. In the world of big studio films, $15k is a drop in the bucket. However, for smaller, independent films like Dysfunktion, it makes all the difference. We will be filming on a very small budget. Raising over $15,000 through IndieGoGo will help to insure the film can get into production as planned. We cannot make this film without your help and support, and we appreciate every single contribution.
Dysfunktion will be a union film and will be produced under the guidelines of the Screen Actors Guild Ultra Low Budget Agreement, which means, we can collect and produce this film at a budget up to $200,000. That would be amazing, and would ensure Dysfunktion could reach its full potential. We're realistic though and have set an amount much lower as the very least amount we need to start the cameras rolling. We've been pounding the pavement already and we do have 15% funding in place from our family and friends, and some corporate sponsors who are contributing products and support for filming such as Adidas, Francois Marithe Girbaud, Chilli Bean Eye Wear, Adam & Eve toys, Jarritos Sodas and others.

But we need your help to raise the absolute minimum amount needed to Greenlight the project for production. And the more we raise, the better it gets!
Every person who contributes will receive a screen credit, a DVD and our eternal gratitude!
