I’m the supervising producer & co-writer of Fruit of the Tree.
An adult educator for 40 years & a social activist all my life, my focus has been the rights of women, children, minorities & the poor, & ensuring access to community resources for marginalized groups. I founded & ran a number of community organizations, among them a women’s health center, a farm worker self-help organization, & a training center for Spanish-speaking early childhood educators.
I’m a mother, step-mother, foster mother & grandma. I speak 4 languages & have worked in several countries.
My film-making goal is to address important social issues in nuanced & intriguing ways that enlighten as they entertain. I also seek to provide opportunities for creative work & growth for under-represented & emerging talent in my community.
