The Film

Created by Acacia Morgan and Damone Williams, this film chronicles the chain of events following a life-changing study session with a classmate. Dominic "DJ" Riley, Jr., a pre-med honor student at Pepperdine, is a bright young man, with a promising future. He has spent the majority of his life, and has prided himself on patterning himself after his father, successful neurologist Dominic Riley, Sr. Like most first born sons, DJ's mission is to ensure that his parents are nothing less than immensely proud of him. That mission is unfortunately "shot to hell" when a study session with innocent intentions has a domino effect on DJ's life. 

The Impact

The motivation behind this project isn't simply providing entertainment for others. We are telling a story. Someone's story. We are shining a light on someone's darkness. We want that light to show the honest truth about the gay experience in different communities. We want it to affect people. To show how actions that may seem harmless or unimportant to one person, may set a series of events into motion for another human being. This film is about unconditional love, and respecting one another's basic human rights.


What We Need & What You Get

To make this film a reality, we need $15,000 for production costs, our cast and crew. Since a lot of us on the production team are actors as well, we have been on sets where the wrong corners were cut to keep costs down. We want everyone who is putting in time and effort to make this production great to know how much they are appreciated, in addition to putting out a great film, that looks great too.

Can we exceed the goal?

YES! This would truly be amazing. Exceeding our goal would allow us to make a better movie. IndieGoGo will allow as much money as is given before the deadline. This is only the beginning of our journey with this film, we are not in pre-production yet. We have set our goal at the low end so if we were able to exceed it, it would be a dream come true and it would allow us to get more of the film done.
