Our Story
This film-project is assuming, that
humans learn the most effective and sustainable in active processes,
that are strongly connected to their own life.
From this starting point, this film is exploring different ways of
learning: Education at average state and private schools as well as at
seemingly radical and free schools. Education that is supporting this
way of active learning in strong connection to the life of the
individual. Each step seems valuable and is encouraging to explore new
ways.
The Impact
In face of the many things that go wrong in education all over the world today, we need this film! We need to understand how education can make more self-determined, conscious and creative instead of being constraining and reinforcing conformism. This film is a step to build a better world.
What We Need & Why
We have been shooting and researching for over a year already. But we still have alot of very interesting places and people to discover. There is expenses - especially material (light equipement, Super8 Film) and travelling costs (upcoming shooting in Freiburg, and Hamburg, Germany and Summerset, England). We need your help to finish the film! And we need it to offer more Workshops to puipls all over Germany: We give them the possibility to reflect about democratic principles and capture their idea on Super8 Film. Parts of the original film material will be integrated into the documentary Doing nothing all day. All of the Super8 Films will go into a moving exhibition.
