 Nuestra Historia / Our History

        

Mi hermano menor es Tomas Gonzalez, el mejor gimnasta Chileno de la historia y uno de los 6 mejores del mundo. Desde que nacio jugaba a ser gimnasta,  grababa videos de olimpiadas y queria ser el mejor.

Hoy tiene veintiseis y cada dia desde los cinco años se ha dedicado a entrenar, perfeccionarse, superarse y ganar medallas. Con una meta que sigue siendo la misma de ese entonces: conseguir la ansiada medalla olimpica.

Este documental es una historia intima y contemplativa de la vida de un deportista de alto rendimiento que nacio en un pais donde los gimnastas no son grandes idolos, pero en donde el, poco a poco ha logrado tener a todo un pais vibrando con sus competencias y al mundo preguntandose quien es este Chileno.

Quiero contar esta historia y  mostrarle al mundo, que los grandes sueños son desafios que uno debe realizar y que las metas son cosa de perseverancia y trabajo duro.

                                       

  My younger brother is Tomas Gonzalez, the best Chilean gymnast in history and one of the 6 best of the world. Since he was born he used to play pretending to be a gymnast, recorded videos of Olympics and wanted to be the best.

Today he is twenty six years old and every day since he was five he has been devoted to training, to improve, excel and win medals. His goal has remained the same through the years: to get the long awaited Olympic Medal.

This documentary is an intimate and contemplative story of the life of a high performance athlete who was born in a country where gymnasts do not constitute big idols, but where he has slowly managed to have a whole country vibrating with his skills, and the world wondering who this Chilean guy is.

My goal is to tell you this story in order to be able to show the whole world that it is possible, that big dreams are challenges and that one must carry out and that goals are a matter of perseverance and hard work. 

El impacto/ The Impact

Hay grandes heroes entre nosotros. Hay grandes historias en frente de nuestras narices. Este es un personaje que vale la pena ver, del que vale la pena contar su lucha y disfrutar desde el mejor lugar la belleza y dificultad de este magnifico deporte.

There are great heroes among us and many stories right in front of our eyes. This is a character worth seeing and it is also worth to tell the story of his struggle and enjoy the beauty and difficulty of this wonderful sport.

Lo que necesitamos / What We Need 

Estamos en la recta final  de este camino, Los Pre Olimpicos seran en Enero del 2012 y los JJOO, en Julio del 2012 ambos a realizarse en Londres.

El dinero que recaudemos por INDIE GO GO se usara para financiar los viajes y acompañar a Tomas en estos hitos de su carrera, que constituyen parte fundamental de nuestro relato, independiente de los resultados.

Por otro lado, mejorar nuestro equipamiento tecnico es primordial para un optimo resultado final, poder viajar con camaras de alta velocidad, ademas de ampliar nuestros registros de sonido, son elementos que haran de esta pieza una pieza de standards internacionales.

We are in the final stretch of this road, The Pre-Olympic Games and the JJOO will be on July 2012, both to be held in London.

The Money we raise for INDIE GO GO will be used to finance travels and accompany Tom�s in these stages of his career which are essential part to our story, independent of the outcomes.

On the other hand, to improve our technical equipment is essential in order to get the optimal results. that are the elements that will make this piece an International standard piece.
