Our Story

My dad was diagnosed with dementia a few years ago. My mom, a retired nurse, has had to take care of him. I moved in with them about a year ago to help out. This is our story.

The Impact

The reality is dementia has been projected as being the next global plague to cripple our society. There are no treatments or cure. Health care and assistance is limited depending on what part of the world you live in. Doctors and scientists have made little progress with how to deal with this emerging problem. Most people are ignorant to the condition. Eventually dementia will touch everyone's life at some point like cancer and other major health issues. This documentary will help introduce people to it. It's better to be introduced to this condition by this method instead of one day having to deal with it face to face like we have had to do.

What We Need & What You Get

 I have all the equipment I need to make the movie, but where the funding will go is into getting the documentary seen in film/video festivals and getting it seen by the right people so it can be picked up for distribution.  Festival packages cost money to be put together and there are entry fees for most of them. Without distribution there will be no dvd or blue ray to watch, therefore no perks for contributors since that's what I'm offering. Besides receiving a dvd or blue ray of the final project, if the movie is shown at a festival in your city, tickets could be arranged for you. Also, your name in the end credits of the documentary.
