Our Story
I'm an actor/director/otherstuff/life long nerd who loves superheroes, horror movies, Disney, nunchucks, and above all a good story. With films like The Dark Knight, Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World, The Avengers, Watned, Kick Ass, Watchmen, Men In Black, and countless other movies, it's easy to see that the comic book inspired film genre is here to stay. And why shouldn't it be? It's our modern mythos. Everyone knows that Superman is from a different planet, and that Batman's parents were murdered. Yet for every comic book origin that your mom knows, there are a dozen that geeks everywhere await with baited breath. They wait until that day when their hero can have their moment on screen.
The Impact
Yet some of those moments don't meet expectations. COUGH COUGH DEADPOOL COUGH COUGH. Thus the rise of the fan film. Geeks, dorks, nerds, passionate people all over the world are taking back the material they hold dear to their heart, and creating something new with it. They are showing the world why they fall in love with the material in the first place.
Yet the term Fan Film leaves a bad taste in the mouth of so many. But why should it? It conjures the idea of backyard shoots, cheap costumes, and crap special effects. But what if we could take all of that away? Professional directors, actors, crew, fight choreographers, and designers just being awesome with material they love.
Sounds like a good plan.
That's what we're going to do.
We want to make a film that makes Deadpool fans pee themselves with excitement. We want to make a film that accurately represents the Deadpool featured in the comic books. We want to make a film that's exciting, funny, full of action, nice moments of drama, and just super freaking cool. We want to make a film that makes you proud.
But we need your help.
What We Need & What You Get
Good Karma and stuff. You'll probably get laid if you help us out. That's not what we're offering. We're offering DVDs, and some other stuff over there that you can read about. But tell people you funded this project, they'll be instantly more attracted to you.
Other Ways You Can Help
Tell people about the project. Maybe you can't give anything, but you might know someone that can. Share it on facebook or twitter or whatever those kids are using these days.
