“Back to the DeLorean” is a feature-length documentary chronicling the history, present, and future of the iconic DeLorean DMC-12 automobile. The movie covers the car’s sordid history; from automotive legend John DeLorean’s visionary dream, to his eventual downfall at the hands of an international political conspiracy. It then moves on to the inspiring stories of DeLorean enthusiasts worldwide, who have kept the revolutionary dream car alive and running for more than two decades, including the recent rebirth of the new DeLorean Motor Company, and the newly manufactured DeLoreans they are building today.

Featuring dozens of exclusive interviews with notable DeLorean owners and experts, an insider’s look at the new DMC headquarters, discussions with filmmakers behind the DeLorean’s involvement in the beloved “Back to the Future” trilogy, and a unique window into the eccentric world of DeLorean car shows and owners’ clubs across the nation.

“Back to the DeLorean” [currently the ‘working title’] is directed and produced by independent filmmaker Jordan Livingston – the product of more than three years of research and on-camera interviews. The project is currently in the early stages of postproduction and is seeking completion funds for editing, music, sound design, and a few remaining ‘pickup’ interviews. Once completed, the project will seek widespread exposure through film festival exhibition, DeLorean-related events, car shows, and owner’s clubs; and eventually commercial distribution.
