Adventure Film Productions Canada is in the process of producing King David Forever, a 12 × 1 hour TV series on the life of King David. The project was initially intended to be a feature film but we decided to carve up the script for TV consumption. The docudrama begins with his anointment by God, via the prophet Samuel, to be the future King of Israel. David’s life is full of dramatic content – adventure, war, romance, love for God and man. The series ends with the birth, crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ, because his mother, the Virgin Mary, is from the house of David.
This is a major TV series with a large cast, given the number of battle scenes that have to be shot. At the appropriate time a European broadcaster will join this project in a co-production deal. This will infuse funding into the series and ensure European sales.
