EARTH 2010. Massive deforestation, water pollution, air pollution, land
fills, extinction, global warming, oil spills, hunting. Have you ever felt
like doing something? Of course you have, yet you loose the impulse in
less than a minute and continue your day as if nothing is happening.
We are Engage Studios, a team of creatives in NYC who dedicate our time to
produce, direct and ensemble unique pieces of visual arts.
A side from our professional goals we are a group of informed people who
care about the world, the environment and respect for life. This is why we
have decided to dedicate some of our time to express our disbelieve with
corrupt and savage practices. The birth of our project came with the
material exposed in the Oscar winning documentary The Cove, directed by
Louie Psihoyos , were in the small town of Taiji, Japan 23,000 dolphins
are brutally killed each year. Yes, 23,000. The massive genocide made us
reflect once more, yet, this time we decided to react and create a visual
piece involving video and photography in motion graphic.
To make this possible we are counting with your generous drop of help.
We can’t continue to let our world, our animals and our species rot into
negative, dark evolution. Deep down we all know we can do something, we
can help in so many ways. You know you could do so much more without
becoming a full time whale warrior.
It is time to wake up, to understand that it is only us who can help. It
is not about the government, it’s not about the good ones or the bad
ones, it is about US, about us starting and demanding change.
This is a great, beautiful project that will hopefully count with the
distribution support of organizations such as Green Peace, Save Japan
Dolphins, The Whaleman Foundations, American Cetacean Society, Dolphin
Care UK, Cetacean Alliance, Center of Cetacean Research and Conservation,
Marine Connection, Marine Mammal Center, Ocean Alliance and Whale and
Dolphin Conservation Society.
We invite you to start helping today. This project does matters, as well
as all creations that move us to a better understanding of our actions.
We may not be the ones cutting the 2000 trees a second, or killing the
thousands of sharks to make shark soup, but we are equally responsible
for ignoring it.
Once again we invite you to help us make this project possible with your
donation.
“Individually we are one drop. Together we are an ocean.”
Thank you so much,
Engage Studios.
