UPDATE: If we can make it to $3000 we will still go ahead with this, and just do our best to raise the missing $1000 via donations the night of the Party. 10 hours left- if you want a Party, SPREAD THE WORD.
Alright guys, heres the situation.
We promised Saskatoon a Halloween DDP and we are going to do everything in our power to deliver. We need to move 150 boomboxes and a crew of 6 people from Vancouver to Saskatoon. And we need to buy about 1000 "D" batteries to power those boomboxes for the night.
Saskatoon is a 3200km Round trip.
Renting a motorhome for the six days required to drive there, throw the Party, and drive back will cost $1500 (including tax and fees). Gas is going to be another $1500. The alternate option is to rent+gas two vehicles but it would cost the same amount and require twice as many drivers.
The other option is to drive one rented minivan crammed full of boomboxes with two drivers and fly the rest of the crew in. Which would also cost about $3000 total.
Batteries are going to cost another $1000
So unless someone has some extra airmiles to share, or a vehicle in Vancouver to loan us, or can transport the boomboxes to Saskatoon and back, we need to raise $4,000 to make this happen.
We dont have any money and we dont own vehicles because we spend every single cent on boomboxes. Thats how legit we are.
The Party is in your hands- get in touch if you can help with transport and/or donate right here for an array of righteous items.
If we dont get the funding we need, we will unfortunately have to cancel and Indiegogo keeps a higher percentage.
But any profits will be saved for a future Party voyage to Saskatoon in 2012 :)

FYI- we wanted to throw the Party on Halloween, but the timelines were too tight- so November 5th will have to do. You'll get two Halloweens and Nov. 5th is Garys birthday, so thats almost as good, right?
