******IMPORTANT******

THE ABOVE VIDEO IS THE TRAILER FOR OUR MOST RECENT FILM, BIRDS WITHOUT WINGS. It is included in the pitch purely as a visual reference for the level of professionalism and skill we wish to bring to our next, film, DISPATCH.

What's a "Dispatch?"

A short film, 14-16 minutes in length.

Dispatch follows a disenchanted emergency police dispatcher who feels helpless against the ever-increasing torrent of violence plaguing the city.

OK, that sounds cool. But, wait, who are you?

We are Columbia College film students producing, writing, directing, and shooting an independent project entitled "Dispatch." With our graduation looming in the very near future, we are treating this film as a thesis with which we hope to announce our arrival into the world of professional filmmaking.

How far along are you?

We've secured a talented and motivated crew of fellow students and alumni. We're well into preproduction, currently focusing on location scouting, storyboarding and other methods of previsualization, and holding extensive auditions. With our shooting dates aimed at mid-September, we're right on schedule.

We've also secured a lot of equipment (like lights, dolly, track, jib, Aaton XTR, etc.) from the school which brings our overall expenses way down.

Well then what the heck do you need me for?

Here's what we need money for:

Panasonic AF 100* (w/ accessories)

Super 16mm film*

Lens package rental

Travel expenses, including gas, truck rental, and more gas

Costumes and make-up

Props and set decoration

Location permits

Insurance

Generator costs

Food for each day of production

*We are shooting the film partially on digital and partially on film.

Doesn't your school provide all that stuff for you?

Nope.

Wow, that kinda sucks.

Yup.

Be honest, now. Will this film ever see the light of day?

YES. Although our school doesn't fund the production of our independent projects, they do enter them (the good ones) into top tier festivals such as Sundance, SXSW, Tribeca, and Cannes. We feel our smart, suspenseful script can evolve into a beautiful and startling portrait of a man trapped between his ineptitude and his desire to help others.

OK, so I gave you tons of money because you kids seem alright. WHAT ELSE CAN I DO TO HELP?

Spread the word! Tell your friends, family, enemies, or pets about us. Link this Indie Go Go page to Facebook or Twitter. And, while you're on Twitter, maybe throw up a #Dispatch hashtag. Any bit of awareness helps.
