Couple Colleen (Coco) and Dave (David!), of Construction & Destruction (Construction and Destruction) have recently finished recording their fourth album together, entitled MUTATIS MUTANDIS (-which is a Latin term meaning, roughly, the necessary changes having been made). C & D are interested in making some necessary changes too, in terms of releasing this most recent album on vinyl, a feat that has thus far eluded them, due to being poor-ish. But they have always felt a wealth of support from friends and family and interested listeners, and are grateful for it. And, are once again (sorry!) appealing for this support from any who might be in a position to give it.
In order to press the new album on vinyl, C&D need to raise $2200. Any financial kindness will be rewarded in C & D goods: their entire discography is available, as well as their Emotionally Available/Unavailable hand-woodburned doorhangers, and hoodies and t-shirts designed by them (or sister Marianne Collins) and manufactured in Nova Scotia, Canada at Stanfield’s.
Construction & Destruction have been quietly making work from their rural home by the sea in Nova Scotia for about six years now, and have been generously rewarded for their efforts by being invited to play and tour throughout Canada and Europe. Construction & Destruction’s work can be perused at:

Any support shown in the past has been greatly appreciated, and has enabled them to keep at it when things’ve gotten rough, making getting up in the mornings (-afternoons?) that much easier. Any support sent their way at this time would be incredibly appreciated, as things are pretty tight, and help would enable them not only to fulfill their long-time desire to have their work pressed to vinyl, but also to continue slogging away at the making of their work at all. C & D’s approach to making work has often been cited as “do-it-yourself”, but this is not entirely true. They’ve been bolstered by the generosity of others, and could not make the work without help.
