Why Crowd Funding?

Because submitting myself to medical experiences for money was too risky, panhandling on the streets can't accurately portray my vision, and because crowd funding is the "Way of the Future, Way of the Future, Way of the Future, Way of the Future, Way of the Future...."

Our Story

Hello World! My name is Emiliano Styles I am an award winning multi-media artist, filmmaker and the writer, director, and editor of Color the Night. Color the Night is an abstract, sexy, fashion film for a cause that will be shot in New York City. Through my production company Soulploitation Creative Works, I have made several short films professionally that I self-funded since 2006. I have been blessed with working with an amazing caliber of talent in these films and my films have be showcased here in NYC, Atlanta, Los Angeles, Norfolk, Virginia, and Nashville, Tennessee to name a few.

When we came up with the idea for "Color the Night", my production team knew that it would be an exceptional project. In previous instances with making movies, we have been forced to compromise pieces of our artistic vision because of the lack of resources. We do not want that to be the case with "Color the Night".

Not only are we artists, but we are civic minded. In our past productions, we have incorporated issues of suicide prevention, cancer awareness, post-war syndrome as well as love, romance, and the importance of friendship.

THE SYNOPSIS

Color the Night is a movie that gives viewers insight into the creative mind of a character named Narumi". The name Narumi means growing beauty or achieve truth. The story line surrounds Narumis process as she readies herself to host a dinner date with "Gabe". We start at sundown, when Narumi gives her date an invitation. We follow her up until Gabe arrives at her apartment. During her preparation process, she takes a shower, picks out clothes, dresses, cleans up, and cooks dinner. All these acts are simple tasks, but we wont see them as simple. We will travel in and out of Narumis imagination as she imagines herself in different places. We will go to those places with her accompanied by remarkable images, incredible music, and appealing fashion pieces assembled by an amazing wardrobe team! With Color the Night, I want people to watch it and be able to put the movie on pause at any moment, and that image that they see, I want it to be worthy of a glossy 8x10 print.

ART FOR A CAUSE!

I read somewhere once that great films are able to meet three objectives: 1) Entertain, 2) Educate, and 3) Inspire! I want to do all three with Color the Night entertain with the music, the images, and the performances of course, but also educate. I want to educate bringing an heightened awareness about different disorders, diseases, causes, and social issues. In "Color the Night" we will show different scenes with color themes. For example, the color RED is featured in the movie along with a RED ribbon that signifies AIDS awareness.

After Color the Night is completed, we will showcase it in film festivals, art gallery installations, and host charitable screenings that will give a sizable percentage of proceeds from the screenings to different causes based off of colors featured in the movie. For example, by hosting a PINK screening of Color the Night, profits will go to Breast Cancer research.

Mentions of various other charitable causes will be strategically placed in the film by using the their dominate colors.

Upon completion we would like to host "Color the Night" screenings to help the following causes:

PURPLE: DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AWARENESS

WHITE: DIABETES AWARENESS

PINK: BREAST CANCER AWARENESS

BLUE: CHILD ABUSE AWARENESS

YELLOW: US TROOPS SUPPORT

RED: AIDS AWARENESS

AND MORE!

I feel that more often than not, individuals become advocates and/or spokespersons for a disease or cause after they themselves succumb to a disease or tragedy. It is my intention to inspire viewers to have a heightened awareness of many diseases and social issues beforehand, for we all know that early detection can be the key to successful treatment. We will be able to Entertain, Educate, and Inspire with "Color the Night" by using the movie medium. Movies are considered to be the most powerful artistic mediums in the world because it combines so many other artistic mediums within it! Upon completion, we know that "Color the Night" has the potential to reach thousands and even millions of people all over the globe. We have several interested venues, organizations, and art galleries who are eager to host "Color the Night" once it is completed. We also have fashion designers who are donating their clothes to be featured in the project, we have reserved filming locations, and we also have assembled a fantastic cast and crew for this production.
