Our Story
Chasing Spring is a documentary project following two cyclists, Izzy and Matt, on a two-month journey from Land's End to John o'Groats. They are tracking spring as it develops across the country, and along the way they are interviewing people about
their professional and personal relationships with spring to find out
how the changing seasons affect their lives.
Our team will be recording every mile of the journey with blogs and a
video diary, photos and social network updates. They will also be
filming their progress using a digital video camera, which will be
edited into a full documentary once the journey is over.
Meet The Team
Isabella Kaminski Co-producerIzzy Kaminski is a freelance multimedia journalist who writes and edits features and news on a wide variety of subjects. Izzy spends much of her time outdoors walking, canoeing and gardening, and she is looking forward to the challenge of cycling across the UK.
Chiara Carbonara is an Italian film producer who has been involved in documentaries both in Italy and the UK. She is now working on several drama projects with her company Arcane Star Productions.
Since graduating from the International Film School of Wales in 2008, Matthew has worked as a camera operator and camera assistant on several film shoots and music videos, as well as working as a researcher and runner for production companies including BBC Wales and Objective Productions. With a keen interest in nature and the environment, Matthew also volunteers for Friends of the Earth, RSPB and Sustrans.
What We Need & What You Get
We are looking to raise $4500 (about 2500) to pay for the professional editing of the final documentary. The money will go specifically towards editing the footage we are filming during the journey into a high quality finished film. At present the project is entirely self-funded, so we really need your help. If you're enjoying following our stories across the country and want to see what we've filmed then please contribute what you can towards the project.
