Hi. I'm
Cassie, producer and director of the
Flossophy 101 music video. In 2005, I brought my
regional theater background and
non-profit film festival founding experience across the country from Shepherdstown, West Virginia to Portland, Oregon to help found a
start up theater company,
but I had an ulterior motive. As an experimental video producer for many
years, I sought further education in film making. Over the last six
years spent in Portland, Oregon, I was an equipment room intern at the
Northwest Film Center
for four years before eventually being on staff. I worked every
possible motion picture production gig that I could handle to learn as
much as I could while meeting collaborators along the way. Last year, a
few of us who found ourselves working together often and well decided to
create a formal collective,
Jabberwocky Productions.
Since then, I've been seeking out work, as a producer/director, that
has a positive impact on the community, features local talent on and off
camera, and allows room for creativity at every step of the process.
