Carrie Certa (Producer/Director/Writer) has produced four independent films. Her first, horror film “Bit Parts”, was recently picked up for DVD distribution along with the political mockumentary “A New Tomorrow”. “Circadian Rhythm” had her working alongside actors Seymour Cassel, Jonathan Banks, Rachel Miner and David Anders.
Carrie has directed stage productions at Southern Illinois University and in Los Angeles at the Theatre Complex. Her short play “Blind Date Mate” was recently accepted into the prestigious Samuel French Competition (2005), and her short film “Life After” won the Best Screenplay Award at The Carolina Film Festival in 2007. “Life After” also won awards at the Vail Film Festival, Austin Women’s Film Festival, the Barebones Film Festival, Writer’s Place Screenplay Competition and Woods Hole Film Festival.
She’s also worked as a Post Production Supervising for Television on top-rated reality shows such as “America’s Next Top Model”, “Manhunt”, and “Bridezillas”. With more than a decade of production and post experience under her belt, Carrie is ready to direct her award-winning short screenplay, “Life After”.
In addition to her other professional accomplishments Carrie chairs the Producers Guild Committee for “Emerging Producers” where she travels to colleges nationwide, educating fledgling producers on how to succeed in Hollywood as well as an elected delegate on the AP Council.
