Our Story

BREAKING POINT is an ensemble drama following a group of friends as they deal with day-to-day transitions and setbacks that threaten their relationships and livelihoods.  When their everyday struggles become difficult to maintain and their world tilts off-course, some may go to extreme measures and commit a few wrongs.

Last November we went into production for the first five episodes and with a total of 6 days in production, we produced a great start to season one.  Those episodes were self-financed by Caryn, the creator of the show, on an even smaller budget than what we're asking for.  What we lacked financially we made up for by reaching out to friends for favors for our locations, props, and equipment.  In order to produce another set of episodes, we have to reach out to you for help.  Weve already accomplished a great deal and cant wait to show you more of what we can do.

What We Need & What You Get

To finish the first season we need $15,000.  Because of the penalties attached to not reaching our goal, we have set our budget lower on the site.  If (when!) we meet our goal, please dont stop giving!

The money raised will go to labor, renting locations, renting equipment, catering, post-production editing and sound, production insurance and everything from props to wardrobe.  Absolutely every dime raised will go towards producing as much content as possible.  The more money we have, the more we will be able to do, and the more episodes we can give you!

Please take a look at the perks were offering in exchange for your donations!  If we havent listed the dollar amount you have in mind, no worries.  You can manually select the amount you want to give and absolutely everyone gets a shout out on the website!  Every dollar counts!  Plus everyone who donates $10 or more gets a chance to win a poster signed by members of the cast!  Certain perks will be dispersed as soon as the campaign is over, or for items like the DVD, when filming/post-production is complete.  If you just want to donate and you're not interested in receiving anything in return, you can opt to not receive the perks.

If we dont reach our goal, every dollar donated will go to producing as many episodes as we can.
