A real life adventure story, “Bloodline” is a feature length documentary committed to the illumination of the human spirit. It chronicles the adventures of a girl from the big city learning how to hunt wild game from her long lost aunt in the mountains of Montana. The film centers around Lauren, an ex-vegetarian, who makes and rearranges all of her own clothes from materials found in her urban environment, and Caroline, a seasoned modern day hunter-gatherer, who sources her own food on horseback in Montana’s backcountry trails. The lives of these two women intersect when Lauren discovers that her aunt holds the key to helping answer the many questions she has about recently becoming a “born again” meat eater. Caroline accepts the challenge of teaching a “dude” how to hunt on horseback, and live off the land. Together these two self-sufficient ladies share of themselves as they experience a familial blood-bond for the first time, while Caroline traces with Lauren the blood-lined trail that leads to a meaty meal
