We have reached our $10,000 IndieGoGoal! TRULY AMAZING!!

Many thanks to all who have donated thus far. Weve bought the flights to get there!

Why we still need your help:

Originally, we made our IndieGoGo goal an attainable amount so that we would be sure to reach our target without being penalized, which we did! Were very thankful that we have so many generous folks who believe in us, and in this great show!

However, we have always known that the IndieGoGoal would only be about 30% of all the fundraising we need to get us gone to Europe. So were doing a FUNDRAISER IN SF! And a FUNDRAISER IN NY! And a ONE NIGHT GIG IN BROOKLYN! And, WE STILL HAVE UNTIL AUGUST 4TH (the day we arrive in Ireland!) to

HELP US GET TO $20,000!

Beowulf - A Thousand Years Of Baggage  is

An exhilarating SongPlay based on the 9th century epic poem that hearkens back to the raw and rousing style of storytelling in the old Scandinavian mead halls. Mixing reverence, provocation and satire, this award-winning, critically acclaimed extravaganza posits the notion of Hero versus Monster and defends this most dreaded Old English document through rowdy debate. Backed by an explosive, blaring, seven-piece band, the show swells into a jubilant celebration of Beowulf. Battles emerge in the aisles and on top of tables, plunging the audience into the middle of this unique theater experience while enjoying a beer from the bar. Original music combines Weillian cabaret, 40's jazz harmony, punk, electronica and Romantic Lieder, turning the stage into a cacophonous swirl.

Banana Bag & Bodice is

A critically-acclaimed theatre ensemble that creates unique play-shows with an emphasis on original text and music composition. Since the founding of the company in '99, we have created 9 original shows that examine the ephemeral human condition in a variety of theatrical forms ranging in style from a musical about eating animals (SANDWICH, '03), to a panel discussion on the death of love (THE YOUNG WAR, '04), to a futuristic costume drama (THE SEWERS, '06), to the postpunk exploits of a band that finds faith on an oilrig (THE FALL & RISE OF THE RISING FALLEN, 07), each one a unique examination of the predicament of what it essentially is to be human. We are known for intricate, intimate and complex design of set, sound and costume that "trashes even its big budget competition" (Time Out NY).
