Originally from Memphis TN, Ben Cox moved to Los Angeles in 2002. He has worked as an actor, writer, director and producer in both film and theatre. A graduate of Cal State Northridge, he served as President of the Theatre Guild during his last year there.
He has written numerous pieces for the stage including The Shade of Broken, The Seven, and Our Song. He has directed and produced many other productions including the original work Pandora, based off the story of Pandora’s Box. He most recently finished directing a production of Jose Rivera’s Marisol.
In the film world, he has written and directed several short films including Backwards Progression and Gravity. His feature-length horror screenplay, Fear Itself, was chosen as one of the Top 100 horror scripts at Slamdance.
In addition to film and theatre he enjoys other artistic endeavors including music and photography. His literary and visual works recently received publication in the literary magazine, The Freefall Review.
