WHAT MAKES THIS PROJECT DIFFERENT
|
|
There really have not been many films as of yet that portray the music and culture of the nineties/generation X-ers in a nostalgic way. The era is often thought of as a time of heroin use, suicide and depression. The filmmakers, who grew up during this period decided to focus on one of the most important aspects of that time-the energy and excitement surrounding the new music that shook off the overproduced crap from the eighties and stood out as something genuine and expressive. In a time before cell phones, Facebook, and GPS devices tracking kids one could actually think it’s a good idea to jump in an old car with a guy you just met at a rock show and take off to Seattle!

| HOW THESE FUNDS WILL BE USED |
Film production is a very costly creative venture. We can assure you your contribution will be well spent.
Money spent on a film adds up very quickly. Right now we are in post-production. Our priority is to pay our editor and obtain festival music rights. We're digging deep into the Sub Pop catalog for this one! Since this is a rock n' roll piece it's crucial to have some recognizable music. It will add to the already high production value and make the film stand out at festivals. Additional expenses are festival entry fees and travel to the ones we screen at.
Making a short film and showing it at a festival is one of the best ways to get recognized as a serious filmmaker to work on bigger projects. A well done short film at a festival can open the door to someones directing career. We created this piece as a way to interest producers and investors in the feature script the short was derived from, Heartbreaker.
Making a film is a collaborative process. We hand-picked many talented artists to be part of our team and let their talents shine through. Help us keep with the DIY spirit with your contribution today. Thanks so much!

We are now in the final stages with the film and would like to welcome aboard a couple of new people to the team. Sound Designer, John Bosch, who will be doing the final sound mix for us. Also, Margarita Sullivan, who is working hard clearing the rights to some great 90’s grunge tunes to use in the film. Welcome! We are now only a couple of steps away to the finished film! |

We almost have a cut of the film we are very happy with, and are ready to move onto the next stage with sound design, title design, and music! We’re getting so close! |
