BOYS OF SUMMER is a new feature documentary exploring the incredible success of the Curaao Little League Baseball All-Stars. This tiny Caribbean island has sent a team to the Little League World Series for an amazing nine years in a row, defeating baseball powerhouses like Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic to get to America.
The film follows Manager Vernon Isabella and his boys through one summer of injuries and obstacles as they attempt to keep the winning streak alive. In a newly autonomous country, we learn the meaning of national pride as our story travels from a humble island ball field to the international spotlight and back.
BOYS OF SUMMER has completed production and just premiered at HBO’s New York International Latino Film Festival. We had fantastic feedback and have been invited to screen at several more film festivals around the world. To make the most of these opportunities, we need to raise funds for publicity and final touches on the film. Please help BOYS OF SUMMER reach audiences and get Curaao’s inspiring story out to the world!
