Our Story

My name is Nadja and I am the host of ArtStars*, the new art criticism, a vlog about the art world. I teach workshops for artists on business and PR, I interview art celebrities like John Waters and Peaches. And what I've found is that it isn't a lack of resources that makes people fail. It's a lack of resourcefulness. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank you for watching my show - it has been a wild ride since our first episode in April 2009. And now, I'd like to take our You Tube videos offline and package them into a DVD. "Vintage ArtStars* DVD: Volume 1: The Toronto Years, 2009-2010" offers our first 42 episodes in Canada, before relocating to Berlin. I would really like to keep the show going, and need to create this product to keep the show afloat. It would be a shame to see it go.

The Impact

The ArtStars* DVD - the first of its kind - is a valuable educational resource of how the art world really works. I, Nadja Sayej, have devoted my life to art criticism, and have traveled the world with my show, in hopes of getting the best story to share with my ever-growing and loyal audience. I'd love it for this DVD to be in university libraries worldwide, as what you get here, you cannot get in a Greenberg text.

What We Need & What You Get

We are producing a DVD: "Vintage ArtStars* DVD: Volume 1: The Toronto Years, 2009-2010." We need the money to create the actual DVD program, produce our first run of DVDs, hire designer Haikal Noyes, purchase the printing materials (glossy paper is a must), and assemble with production coordinator, Amee Le. We also need to organize a DVD launch party and organize mail-outs.

What if we don't reach our goals? We will produce the DVD ourselves.
