The Issue

The Lowe's Home Improvement controversy has once again exposed the ugly truth of Islamophobia in America. A small right-wing Christian group was able to pressure Lowe's Home Improvement to drop advertising for a show on the Learning Channel (TLC) that was seeking to portray Muslims as everyday people.


The controversy has caught major momentum, with major entertainers such as Russell Simmons, congressional representatives, Mayors, Governors, and entertainers such as Mia Farrow and Kall Penn, all passionately calling for action on behalf of Lowe's.

The Concept - A Short Film PSA

A team of filmmakers, everyday people, and activists have become inspired by My Fellow American, a web platform that is showcasing stories and perspectives about Islam in America. We have developed a concept and are shooting in New York this coming week, and we hope to have a video ready by December 22nd. 

The Impact

Let's show America that Muslims are not to be feared, and that they belong in this country like any other group, and we don't have anything to fear. This video could become viral and take off. 

What We Need & What You Get

We need very little money to make this video happen - a budget of about $1,300 has been identified.
