Alexandra MacArthur is an independent filmmaker living in Brooklyn. She began making movies in 2009 after a sudden epiphany she had in the Yucatan convinced her that she must be a filmmaker (She still doesn't know exactly how this happened, but she knows that it was real, and that it was awesome). Since then she produced 5 original short films, two of which won awards at the Scary Cow Film Festival in San Francisco. Her last film, Violet is Single, is a romantic comedy about a food critic who tries to replace love with food. Check out the trailer here. The film won first place in acting and cinematography. Since then, Alexandra has been writing screenplays and interacting with the New York folks in Web TV. Lessons From My Early Twenties will be her first web series.
