NYU film school grad Aaron Weisblatts first documentary was nominated for an Academy Award for Short Subject Documentary. The film entitled Sam, also premiered on National Geographics EXPLORER series and on the UKs Channel Four.

 

His first feature documentary, Between Two Worlds has been honored at numerous film festivals where it has garnered multiple Best Documentary Awards. He was also a cameraman on A&Es reality show, Tattoo Highway.

 

He also co-produced the critically acclaimed documentary Feast of Death for the BBC about the bestselling author, James Ellroy.

 

He produced and directed a live concert promo for recording artist Southside Johnny and the Asbury Dukes, filmed at the famed Stone Pony in Asbury Park, New Jersey.

 

Early in his career he has had the opportunity to work with some influential documentary filmmakers like Errol Morris (Thin Blue Line) Nick Broomfield (Kurt and Courtney) Vikram Jayanti (When We Were Kings) and Joan Churchill (Aileen: Life and Death of a Serial Killer)

 

Besides his production work, Mr. Weisblatt has an extensive background as a film and television sound editor working on high profile television shows such as Law and Order, House, Crossing Jordan, Heroes and feature films such as Death of a Salesman, The Fugitive, From Hell, Bedazzled and Doubt. He also was an editor on The History Channels 10-part series WWII in HD.

 

Currently he is developing documentary/reality series through his company Cinetrope Entertaiment, in conjunction with Los Angeles based Bogner Entertainment.
